Radical Wealth Collective helps marginalized folks build a joyful and abundant relationship with money.

Access

We love working with LGBTQ+ folks, BIPOC pals, and other historically marginalized communities. Our society thrives when everyone has access to resources, support, and knowledge.

Intersectionality

In the words of Murri scholar Lilla Watson, “Our liberation is bound together.” The fights against homophobia, transphobia, racism, fatphobia, ableism, classism, etc. are all related struggles.

Our Values

In a world where money is so often used as a tool of power, oppression, and violence, we believe there’s a better way forward.

These are the values that drive our work as people and as coaches.

Empowerment

We’re not just here to tell you what to do, we’re here to guide you through making your own informed and values-driven decisions, so you feel confident and excited about reaching your goals.

Acceptance

Fear-based financial tactics don’t work, and money shouldn’t feel shameful! This is a safe and judgment-free space to address any money baggage and find the financial path that works for you.

Anti- Capitalism

Our society is built on consumption, hustle, and maintaining the status quo. Even as we must work within the systems we have, we acknowledge the ways that capitalism creates harm and inequality.

Joy

No matter your background or financial situation, you deserve to live your fullest, most abundant life. Even (ESPECIALLY) in this dumpster fire of a capitalist hellscape. Joy is resistance, dear friends.

Our Approach

We believe that true, long-lasting behavior change comes from 5 key factors:

  • Consistency

It’s tempting to overhaul your finances all at once, or offload everything to a pro. But true change comes from small, daily actions (& tons of self-acceptance along the way).

  • Accountability

It’s easy to lose steam when no one’s checking in on your goals. Having money buddies to troubleshoot and celebrate wins makes a huge difference in your progress.

  • Conversation

Since money is taboo, we tend to isolate when something’s wrong. Safe, productive money discussions remind you you’re not alone, and help you find solutions faster.

  • Community

Money’s tough to manage on your own. Tapping into a community of like-minded folks working on similar goals means easier access to support and resources to help you grow.

  • Personalization

There’s so much financial info out there, but it’s hard to know what applies to you. You need an accessible way to get personalized feedback on your situation.

Hey sweet friend, Michelle here!

I’m a queer and neurodivergent financial coach, and I love helping LGBTQ+ folx and heart-centered entrepreneurs use their money to live joyful and abundant lives.

I started out as a theatre kid, but through life's weird twists and turns, I found myself in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program studying finance. While I wasn’t very good at the wearing-suits-and-shaking-hands part of the program, I found the human and psychological aspects of money fascinating, and happy-accidented my way into the personal financial planning and investment management industry.

For six years, I started and ran a wealth management company called Young & Scrappy, which grew into a multiple six-figure RIA. While it was interesting work, I pulled the plug in December 2025 in order to pivot to more values-aligned service. I loved my clients, but also wanted to help folks who couldn’t afford to work with an advisor (and yet, who often needed support the most!)

Being an entrepreneur also gives me the freedom to work on my own terms, serve only the kickass progressive clients that I love so much, and think creatively about how we amass and manage our resources as humans and community members.

In engaging with this work, I value:

  • Emotional honesty about the role capitalism plays in our lives

  • Making changes from a place of empowerment, not shame

  • Getting clear on what’s important, and then aligning your money accordingly

  • Being open to learning, and trusting that it’s not too late to grow

  • Holding space for the hard conversations, teaching one another to be better allies, and honoring wherever you’re at in your journey

Everyday I wake up grateful for the small but hopefully meaningful role I play as a coach–it’s truly an honor to serve and support you.

Does the vibe align?

If so, we’d be honored to support you as a member in our Radical Wealth Collective program.
